Updating Content on the Website

To update any pages on the site you need to:

1. Login on the site as described in Login to the Website

2. Display the page / content that you want to edit or update by browsing to the page using the menu options.

3. At the top of the page there will be a tab labeled “Edit” - click on that to edit the existing page. Change any of the contents as required using the editor (see Editing Text if you need a hand with the editor functionality).

4. Alternatively if you've used the content listing there is an edit option out to the right.

5. Change anything you want - remember the gotcha with the categories in that once you select one, you need to use the ADD option to make sure it's recorded before you save the entire page.

6. You can add / remove images from the listing - you'll see the option to remove on anything that already exists, and an option to browse and add new images that you want. There is also the "arrow" on the left hand side of the image listings that will allow you to sort the images into the order that you want them displayed in.

7. Click on SAVE at the bottom of the form (you can click on Preview if you'd like to see what the post will look like before it is published BUT you must then click on Save at the bottom of the preview screen, otherwise the post will not be recorded).

HINT: All content types have a set of “Publishing options” right at the bottom of the screen – if you click on that heading you'll see the following options which you can “Tick” on or off as required:

Published (tick on to display the contents on the website – tick off and you'll still be able to edit the content, but it will not display to the “public”.

Promoted to the front page – puts the content on the front page of the site (ignore)

Sticky at top of lists – means that the post will always appear at the top of listings (such as blog listings etc).
